MiGO Pathtag Design
YAY! Not to toot my own horn, but this tag is the winning design for the MiGO (Michigan Geocaching Organization) pathatg fundraiser! This tag will soon be available in the pathtag store in (I believe) packs of 20, and all proceeds will go to help MiGO. As a proud member I'm honored to have my design chosen and encourage everyone to buy a pack!!

Alphonse Mucha, Remember Him?
Do you recall back over the summer I began a series of tags based on the Art-Deco works of Alphonse Mucha? Well finals are over for the semester so I once again have time to work on those. Two more have been posted under the Famous Artists page, with more to come.

So what are you doing for the holidays?
Presumably you're all buying pathtags for the holidays, but what kind? I'm curious to know if you celebrate the season (winter, not the holidays), the holidays from a religious standpoint, the holidays from a secular standpoint, family, or with another personal tag? Instead of making another poll, I would like to hear straight from you, so please post in the comments section below! Seriously, don't be shy. I want to hear from you!
PS- Don't forget to check out the newest tags for the holidays!

Still here... It's been a busy time!
Hello dear readers, sorry for such an extended absence! I would like to report that my surgery has healed nicely (even if I don't like the way my bellybutton was stitched back together) and that my new roommate is settling nicely into the apartment. Midterms also went better than expected. In the meantime, a large number of pathtags are in the works. My local geocaching group has two contests in the works, plus customer requests. It seems, through your kind word of mouth, that I have become known for creating tags from pictures, both people and pets! I love it and thank you.
Over the Thanksgiving break I will be out of town, visiting family, but will try to get more designs pre-made in the meantime. If you have any suggestions or requests please let me know in the comments section.

Emergency Surgery
I've had an emergency appendectomy (about 8 hours between showing up in the emergency room and laying on an operating table!), and am now on the mend. Apologies for any delays.

Happy Holidays
Happy Holidays! (Yeah, yeah. It is mid September.) The Holiday Sale page has been updated with both Christmas and Hanukkah designs. In anticipation of the *hopefully* next special, most of these designs involve glitter, and more are on the way as the holidays get closer. I'll also be adding additional Halloween designs for your last minute orderings and anyone else who wants to take advantage of the glow special.

The Holidays- A Public Service Announcement
Don't forget that ordering time for the holidays is fast approaching! Put your order in sooner rather than later, especially for custom designs, and remember that this is one of the busiest times of the year! But Laura, it's only September... This is true, but don't forget to allow up to 6 weeks for pathtags.com's production schedule. Also, I go to class two nights a week, working towards an "Associates in Applied Science and Photographic Technology". I mention all of this only because while it never hurts to be early, it would really stink to get your tags late. (And now back to your regularly scheduled program...)

Hello
Sorry for the delays in updating posts, but its been very busy here at headquarters. I spoke to several people about pricing designs, plus more tags are in the works including several custom orders. Check the design pages often! The sold page is becoming quite full, and I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.

We're Back, Folks
Well I'm home. The bash was a blast, of course, and I got to see almost everyone from last year! Tag trading was a big hit, and thank you for all of the kind words about my MWGB tag design. The Alphonse Mucha designs are on hold for a little, as I currently have some other works in progress for customers. Priorities, priorities!

Gone for the weekend
Hello Friends and Followers,
There will be no updates for a few days as MWGB is this Thursday through Sunday. If you would like to commission or purchase a pathtag design in the meantime please feel free to email me and I will get back to you after the bash. Also, don't forget to vote in the newest poll, leave a comment, check out the latest designs and tell your friends.
Also, in progress is a series of pathtag designs based on the works of Alphonse Mucha. He was an Art Nouveau painter from Czechoslovakia, and I especially love his work from the 1890's through early 1900's.

Midwest Geobash 2010- Everything To Know Before You Go!
While technically this post has nothing to do with pathtag designs (although go look at the pathtag designs!) I still thought I would share.
This year MWGB is Thursday August 5th through Sunday August 8th, and I don't know about you but I am ridiculously excited! Do you have your tinfoil hat ready? This will be my second Bash. Last year I forgot to bring or didn't know about a number of things, but I was lucky enough to be adopted by several amazing geo-families so it was OK. Plus there is a WalMart a few miles from the fairgrounds just in case. This year, however, I made a checklist and thought I would share my lessons learned...
*** Please remember that the Bash is being held in an Emerald Ash Borer quarantine area, and most of the surrounding areas (read: all of lower MI, most of OH, and parts of surrounding states) are also quarantine areas. Every reserved campsite includes one pile of wood, plus you can buy more as you need it.
Last year they had the biggest line I have ever seen of doughnuts, coffee and juice provided for breakfast if you got there early enough, and I hope they are doing it again this year. Nothing like a sugar high to wake 1500 people up! There are restaurants in town if you want, and the MWGB folks have confirmed several on site food vendors if you would rather buy meals instead of cookout. Plus, a guy on an ice cream bicycle! Bring cash, as electricity on the fairgrounds to run credit/debit cards is not guaranteed at vendor areas.
If you're a rather hungover 'Area 51' goer I highly recommend skipping the doughnuts to sleep in, then eating something vendor provided in the shadiest spot you can find... With lots of gator/power-aid. If you already plan to be sorry the next morning, or are a lightweight like me, might I suggest a cooler marked "Open Only In Case Of Drunk", to be filled with electrolyte rich liquids, water, ibuprofen , and any other hangover cures of your choice. You'll thank me later when you have it on hand and pre-chilled. You're welcome :)
Everyone is super friendly so ask around and bright green hats/lanyards means volunteer staff. Last but not least, when in doubt TURN LEFT!
